Active Roles 7.1 – Automation for On-Prem AD and Azure AD

Using the single, familiar Active Roles interface, there is no longer a need to be constantly switching between consoles, and writing complex scripts in an attempt to automate, because Active Roles does it for you.

Creation of a user, for example, can now be performed through Active Roles, with all the associated benefits that entails.  Ensuring that corporate policy remains in control of data integrity maintaining consistency and unified security.  Assigning access based upon business roles, through accurate group memberships, both in AD and Azure AD.  Allocating only needed and necessary expensive Office 365 licenses, provisioning mailboxes either on premise or in Exchange on-line.  Making sure that the user lifecycle is maintained end-to-end, with application access updated promptly and accurately both on premise and in the cloud, with no latency.

By eliminating cobbled together scripts and tenuous workflows, moving all control to a centralised location through Active Roles, we can help to deliver accurate directory data, drive the business to a better compliance model, and ensure peace of mind with set and forget policies.

Active Roles 7.1 has delivered on a promise to re-imagine administration of the hybrid identity management environment at the most fundamental level, and this is just the start of the journey.  Here at One Identity, we have big plans to develop and build out the widest possible support for the Office 365 application set, adding value in both the areas for which Active Roles has traditionally operated, but also some exciting net new areas.  Stay tuned for more news as we push Active Roles to even greater heights.
