Last month, One Identity held its first One Identity UNITE conference in Newport Beach, California.  Well, it was the first event that was actually branded UNITE.  We’ve been having Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, partner events and customer events for some time.  But each has become important and large enough to consolidate into a single event that we have branded UNITE for its ability to bring together customers, partners and One Identity to ensure we all achieve “successful customer outcomes.”

And what an event it was. 

If you haven’t been to Newport, I highly recommend it.  The facility was outstanding and the weather was even better.  Of course, I live in Ohio so pretty much any place has better weather.  We had nearly 100 customers and partners attend to network and learn more about our governance and privileged access management solutions.  Our key note speaker was Scott Crawford from 451 Research where he talked about the merging of IAM and the future of intelligent technology.

But perhaps the most valuable aspect for One Identity is the interaction.  As a company, we spent more than three days hearing about the challenges our customers and prospects face when it comes to deploying identity and access management solutions.  This type of candid feedback is invaluable as we mature as a company.  It affects our roadmaps which is why so many of our Product Managers and Development leaders attend and present at this event.  It also helps us shape our business to make us easier to do business with.  At the end of the day, we want to make sure our customers and partners can #GetIAMRight.

One of the highlights of the event for me was the partner sessions.  During the partner dinner, we announced our partner of the year award winners for North America.  Here’s a recap of those winners for 2017

  • Best New Partner North America – Rallypoint Solutions – This award is for a new partner who had the biggest impact on the business in the last 12 months.
  • Best Solution Sale North America – EST Group – This award signifies the best example of a solution sale with a partner that brings together products and services from across the One Identity portfolio in order to meet a complex customer challenge.
  • Best Sales Collaboration North America - Immersion Technology Services – This award highlights the best example of a partner who collaborated with One Identity sales and others in the broader partner ecosystem to close a significant sale.
  • Partner of the Year North America – ICSynergy – This award is for the partner who had the largest overall impact on One Identity business.

Lastly, we highlighted an award for technical and business achievement, the One Identity Master.  This was given to John Lindsly with ICSynergy to recognize his passion and depth of knowledge to solve business issues with a technology foundation.  

As I mentioned at the start of this blog, the UNITE event in Newport Beach was just a starting point.  You’ll be seeing, reading and hearing more about One Identity UNITE in the coming weeks and months.  Our next event is the One Identity UNITE partner event in Europe-- Malta  to be exact—in  about two weeks.  At that event, we’ll be announcing our next One Identity UNITE events for our CAB, customers and partners.  Be sure to check out our UNITE website and we hope you can join us at one of these events in your region!
