UNITE 2026: The windy city awaits

Chi-Town, The “City of Big Shoulders,” The Windy City. Call it what you will, Chicago is an amazing place, full of history, brimming with architectural firsts and a great place to have a good time.

As an outsider to the US, I was surprised to find that the moniker “The Windy City” had nothing to do with any howling winds blowing down the streets between the towering skyscrapers, but everything to do with a city owning the slander sent its way from other, rival cities – like New York during the 1893 World’s Fair.  “Full of hot air,” “blustery and boastful,” Chicago took control with pride and grabbed the name, and it still sticks to this day.

A city so great that a band named itself after the place where they dye the river green on Saint Patrick’s Day. A city so broad in culture and history that two brilliant writers created a musical named after it that has been performed in theatres all over the world for fifty-one years.

And it is with pride and perhaps with just a little boasting that One Identity gets to bring their sell-out event, UNITE, to Chicago: A true hub for Identity professionals all over of the world to meet and learn.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of UNITE, and maybe we have the right to stand up and shout about the success the event has had. Tens of thousands of people have listened to some of the best talent on our stage. They have attended sessions, networked and been entertained. So, lets do it again for another ten years.

See you in the bar.
