Get Approver for Request shows up in the DB Queue and it takes a long time

Hello everyone,

In the DB queue, the process "Get approver for request" takes a very long time (more than 30 minutes for ~200 lines) and stops the execution of the entire queue

There are fixes on the One Identity Community:

https://support.oneidentity.com/kb/4343994/-get-approver-for-a-request-task-blocks-the-db-queue-and-nothing-else-can-process

https://support.oneidentity.com/kb/4295673/performance-issues-with-operation-get-approver-for-request

But we use Version 9.2 and this version already includes these fixes.

How can I resolve this issue?

Thanks

  • we had the same issue, reported it but no suitable reply. This is log from my team

Case #02811984 – Get Approver for Request: DB Queue Task Processing Delay:
    Opened: 18 June 2025
    Closed on: 31 July 2025
    Closed with no action
This issue emerged following a version upgrade and is reproducible in other environments running the same version. One Identity indicated no changes on their side were responsible. The case was closed without a fix by us as we weren’t receiving satisfactory answers. The underlying issue remains present but is currently not impacting production throughput, so we have not pursued it further.

  • I looked into the case you mentioned, but the case was closed because no performance issues showed up in production.

However, it was mentioned in the case that the task for recalculating the approver is set too often in the DBQueue. There is an entry for this issue: #671205. A hotfix can be requested from Support.

    I hope this helps.
