Hi everyone,

We’ve got a customer currently running One Identity Manager 9.2.1, and they’re now looking to upgrade their Active Directory to Windows Server 2025.

We reached out to support and were told that 9.2.1 doesn’t support AD 2025, and that there’s no workaround for this. Basically, the only option is upgrading to One Identity 9.3, which does support it officially.

Thing is, the customer has a lot of customizations on the web UI, so upgrading the whole platform isn’t something they want to jump into right away unless there’s no other choice.

Before we push for v9.3, just wanted to check;
Has anyone here actually tried syncing AD 2025 with 9.2.1?
Any success stories? Any weird behaviors?
Even a temporary trick would be useful to hear.

Appreciate any input. Thanks!

  • One thing to think about: Customer wants to upgrade the server OS to use new features and/or have a more secure system. It has been released at 1st November 2024. Shouldn't it be worth to upgrade also the Identity management system to the more eligible version released at 7th January 2025 for same reason? Why not?
