Connect to SAP UME best practice / documentation

Hi all,
I can't find any documentation on this topic. Could someone who has done this before please briefly show me the best way to do it?

    Hi Gregor,

    SAP UME is the user management engine for SAP AS Java. The One IM SAP connector is intended for connecting SAP AS ABAP only. The path to connect underlying data of SAP UME depends on its configuration: a) SAP UME uses as SAP AS ABAP as date store -> connect the AS ABAP directly via One IM SAP connector ... b) SAP UME uses an LDAP system as data store -> connect the LDAP directory using the One IM LDAP connctor ... c) SAP UME is running a standalone SAP AS Java ... try to connect via SCIM connector if you are able to configure the SAP UME as target system in a SAP IDS cloud environment (SAP IPS Proxy).
