API call no longer works after upgrade from version 9.2 to version 9.3.1

Hello,

In the version 9.2 I configured API calls to read only 3 custom views created, before the upgrade everything worked and was fine. After upgraded to version 9.3.1, if I try to perform same API calls from postman, they never stop and continuously load without getting a response. I checked all the configurations involved and all seems fine as before. Is there, eventually, something to be added in the configurations in oder to able API calls in 9.3.1?

Thanks,
Jacopo

  • From 9.3 this is just an 1 click config DialogTable.IsApiServerEnabled: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZpMrYPwX-k&t=485s
So maybe it's easier to just use this new feature then to troubleshoot the current issue

  • There was actually an issue with postman configuration. The old configurations implemented in v9.2 still works in 9.3, however I cannot perform API calls with where clauses such as OperationDate > DATEADD(day, -7, GetUTCDate()) even if I associated the program function "Common_AllowRiskyWhereClauses". I also tryed to set the flag to READ, as explained in the video, but nothing changes. Before the upgrade I was able to perform where clauses like the one just typed above. Any clue about that? Thanks

  • Sorry Jacopo, No idea and also no time to test. So maybe better cal support.

I’m experiencing the same issue after upgrading from 9.2 to 9.3.1—API calls that previously worked for the configured custom views now keep loading indefinitely in Postman without returning any response. I’ve rechecked the configurations, but everything appears unchanged; has anything additional been introduced or needs to be configured in 9.3.1 for these API calls to work properly?

Does your appserver/apiserver correctly updated to v9.3.1? Moreover it would be better if everything is correctly updated such as web portal and so on.
I'm telling you this, because in the very first few days after the upgrade, the API call did not work properly as described here, but after some changes and the upgrade finally completed properly, the API call started again to work. Also not that with postman i experienced some issues with this continuous loading, try to close it and re-open few times and also clear auth token, cache and other stuff that can remain in memory.
