Is it possible to upload with account discovery two accounts with identical names but from two different domains? How?
Is this for single forest with multiple domains or separate domain forests?
An AD asset has a check box option to either enable manage forest or disable it and so it depends on your configuration that would determine how you would configure the Account Discovery.
If you have separate AD Assets for each domain, you can create separate Account Discovery jobs for each AD Asset.
Account Discover Job A points to Directory asset with Domain A
Account Discovery Job B points to Directory asset with Domain B
If you have a single AD Asset that manages multiple domains then you have create separate Account Discovery Rules for each domain and in Conditions tab you can filter by the search location.
Thanks!
Hi Tawfiq, OK, so the scenario is that the accounts are from different domains not in trust with each other, so if I have two or more accounts with the same (identical) name but from different domains can they co-exist in SPP?
I mean for example:
account1 of domain A
account1 of domain B
account1 of domain C
same name but of different domains (in SPP we will have assets of different domains. Each domain a specific asset in SPP)
thank you!
Yes that will be fine.
Each account will exist under their respective AD asset.
