SPP and SPS Upgrade Path from 7.5.1 to 8.2

Hello,

We are planning an upgrade for One Identity SPP and SPS for a customer. The currently used version is 7.5.1. Can we upgrade directly from this version to 8.2, or do we first need to upgrade to 8.0 LTS and then to 8.2?

If we are required to upgrade to 8.0 LTS first, should I download both the application and patch options among the download choices? Under normal circumstances, I believe uploading only the patch file is sufficient. However, if we need to move to 8.0 LTS, do I need to follow a different procedure?

Darko is correct - That is the correct process for SPP. It's recommended to test test the process to familiarise yourself before you do a production deployment.

Just a quick note however, there is now an OS4 patch available for SPP virtual custmoers - https://support.oneidentity.com/kb/4382275/one-identity-safeguard-for-privileged-passwords-os-level-4-patch-for-spp-virtual-appliance-version-8-0-or-above
