I posted this as a reply to this thread: https://www.oneidentity.com/community/active-roles/f/forum/38161/inactivity-timeout/90750, but not realize it may not be very visible as a reply (as opposed to it's own post).
After five months of using the setting in that thread, I have a question: What qualifies as "inactivity" as stated in the KB:
"Timeout. Required. Integer. Specifies the allowed interval of inactivity for a user (in minutes). After the specified time interval of inactivity user will be logged out and get a message"
I ask because I think the setting is more "session timeout PERIOD" and less "Session timeout due to inactivity."
Lately, I've had several extended Active Roles sessions and I receive the timeout warning (and subsequent auto-logout) even if I'm actively using the web console. I've received similar reports from my admins.
This obviously has no impact on short sessions--which is probably why I didn't notice it sooner--but if I'm taking several actions and logged in beyond the interval set, Active Roles will log me out, sometimes in the middle of an action because I missed the warning while working.
Is there a remedy for this issue at all?
