Custom Datatype in sql table

Question

Hello, 
 I have a custom datatype, which is not view-able through sync editor. 
 For example below CAMSUser attribute, which is having dependency on that application and not advisable to change the datatype supported by Q1IM7.0 
 
 Please advice me on how to proceed further for mapping.

I think you have two options here. 
 
 Option 1: Create a view in your database to fetch the data from the table. In that view you convert the custom data types to standard data types. For example UTszUser:varchar(15) to varchar(15). The database connector should be able to see the data then. 
 Option 2: Use the ADO.NET generic database connector. You can define your own select - statements here to fetch the data. The statements would need to convert the data-types as well. 
 
 You probably need to customize the data operations for the tables using the custom data types if you want to write to them. Depending on the option you choose, you will find some information in the online manuals.
