LDAP Connector and DNs with unescaped trailing spaces

I have an LDAP directory I'm connecting to with the Generic LDAP Connector. I'm only getting a subset of the data in the directory though. After some investigation, I found that the entries that are not coming in have unescaped trailing spaces in the DN. The behaviour of One Identity is to ignore these entries. An error does show complaining about unescaped spaces in the hierarchical scope but apart from that it just ignores them. I need to process these entries. I can't change the data in the directory. Is there any way around this?
