Date display on 6.1.2 tools

Hi,

I am hoping you can explain to me why I see the following dates displayed differently in different tools. The example below is from a single UNSAccountB record:

Database

Object Browser

Manager

My initial problem was that when using GetDate() as part of a whereclause it also returns tomorrow's date rather than today's, giving unexpected results. The database server's timezone is currently GMT+11 if that is a factor.

Dates stored in the database will UTC based. The object layer converts these dates to local time based on your culture settings.

So if you are creating dates using SQL, you should use GetUTCDate instead of GetDate.
