Manually Escalate a request

Is there any way for IT personnel (or people with proper access) to manually trigger the escalation for a request that is currently pending on approving level.

I want a workflow where system role owner is the first to approve and with escalation to his/her manager.

When a system role owner is out of office or similar, I want the ability to manually trigger the escalation without having to wait for the escalation timeout to kick in. Any idea how to do this? Sounds like it should already be a built-in function but i can't find it anywhere.

  • Sven is right, the method should do the trick if the person is either the requester or the recipient of the request or if the method is executed by the Job Service.

    Coming with 8.0 the chief approval team can immediately escalate a request in the web portal as well as the recipient or requester.
