Manually Escalate a request

Is there any way for IT personnel (or people with proper access) to manually trigger the escalation for a request that is currently pending on approving level.

I want a workflow where system role owner is the first to approve and with escalation to his/her manager.

When a system role owner is out of office or similar, I want the ability to manually trigger the escalation without having to wait for the escalation timeout to kick in. Any idea how to do this? Sounds like it should already be a built-in function but i can't find it anywhere.

This is for version 7.0.2

  • Thanks.

Im gonna do some test on this over weekend.

Btw, does anyone have the exact SQL code to make an approval step for people in a specific role. I want to do one approval procedure with multiple queries to pick up approvers. One of the queries should be members of a specific role. Role is in the AERole table.
Similar to the procedure "OR - Members of a certain role" but i need the code for a specific role to add multiple queries in one procedure.
