Employees: Viewing permission denied for value "Language culture" on Web Portal Log In

Hi all,

v7.1 here. I'm struggling with permission groups. As in the youtube videoseries I copied the standard permission VI_4_ALLUSERS_LOOKUP group with the copy permissions tool, changed nothing in the custom one, and used it instead of the standard. When tryin to log in the web portal it shows the error message as in the title. Just to be certain I enabled view permission in every table there is a language culture column, but still doesnt' work (this shouldn't be the solution because the standard group doesn't have those permissions.)

  • Thanks Markus, this helped me to find that in the designer I have all desired permission flagged (as I said I copied the standard group) but in fact in the ObjectBrowser I can see I have no permission at all.

EDIT: this happens only for the object corresponding to the employee who is logged. If I am Jon Doe I have all permissions I'm expecting to have for every object in table person, except for the Jon Doe object.
