Want to make attribute Mandatory when your creating user account and not allow the user to continue

Make the property a mandatory property in the schema definition in the Designer. To do that the min. length to a value greater than 0.

If you want to do that for just a specific use case for the web portal, you need to modify column (modify property on the the collection) and set the minimun character count to 1.
