Error when approving request for new Active Directory security group

Hi,

I am trying to get the default ITShop item "New Active Directory security group" to work. After the user have submitted the request with a group name, the approver is unable to configure the new group. When the approver enters Name, Container and Group type, the following error message is displayed:

An exception has occurred while executing the form method Popup0_Popup0_ControlRef2_Container23_Button3_Method.
One or more errors occurred.
The property PWOToDecide.OrderDetail1 could not be set.
Request procedures: Write permission denied for value "Additional request data".

Is there any configuration needed for this to work on a fresh install of Identity Manager? I get a similar message in both version 6.1.4 and 8.0.2

  • If the requester is target system manager, he first get an error message
    "Incomplete request information" and
"The property ADSGroupTemp.cn could not be set. Active directory groups: Write permission denied for value "Name"."

What is the syntax for "Group name" when requesting a new group?

If I Ignore the message and submits the request, I get a message stating
"Request cannot be submitted", but the request is submitted regardless, the process for creating ADGroup starts, and fails.

  • I suggest contacting support then. I thought I remembered a weird situation with the target system manager but your issue seems to be different.
