No group found while providing File access to user

We raised a request for File system access and while approving the request the manager needs to select group.But the group list is empty.Please suggest how the groups list can be made visible to approver.

  • Quite a complicated item to troubleshoot over this post. However, some things to check:

    Are the AD groups that you would expect to come back as part of a request also published to the IT shop? They MUST be published in the IT Shop  order to be considered.

    Can the original requestor of the folder or share, request access to the AD groups directly in the IT Shop? If they cannot, then the file system access request will also fail. Ultimately, a request for access to a folder is a request to join a group.

    Is there anything in the DGE Service log that shows which groups were excluded (and possibly why)?

    If you still can't get further along, please raise a support ticket. Include a DEBUG copy of the DGE Service Log that is generated after the request is in the approver state (i.e. when they log into the web portal and see that no groups are found to satisfy the request). Also include the log of the Identity Manager Job Service that executes the request step (i.e. the job service that talks to the DGE service to make the request).

    I am able to get suitable group and request for File system access is successful, post that user is added to the group in One IM and in AD.

    How can i confirm that the user has access to File system(Folder) because the overview of user shows access to "Group" only and not to File system access.

    From Web portal how the end-user will know to which folder he has access to?
