Which permission group is required to have the ability to compile?
What version are you using?
Generally speaking, you need to be a member of the VID permission group.
OneIM 7.2.
How can you dynamically assign the VID permission group from a dynamic role? Or, how can you include it in a Role Based permission group? We are trying to grant a person record what equates to viadmin level privileges based on a business role assignment. We do it currently via a custom script, but feel a application role via a dynamic role assignment would be cleaner. What are your thoughts?
OneIM 7,2 does not exist.
The VID permission group is not a role-based permission group and gives you (mostly) all permission needed to configure the system. There is no role-based equivalent for it. In addition in version 7.1.2 (I assume this is what you meant) the Database Compiler does not work with a role-based authenticator as far as I know.
So the script is the only feasible way of doing it.
