Import backup of SQL DB of 7.1.1 to OIM 8.1

Hello,

We have installed new OIM 8.1 test environment.

We have a DB backup from OIM 7.1.1 (SQL server 2012).

Can we import this backup into this test environment?

What are the steps needed to do this ?

What you need to do in addition after transferring the database, is to start a database migration to upgrade the database to 8.1. You can check the documentation about how to do that https://support.oneidentity.com/de-de/technical-documents/identity-manager/8.1.1/installation-guide/15#TOPIC-1250179
