What is the importance of "Set Activation date " in LIAM portal.

What is the importance of setting up of 'Activation Date' in LIAM portal.

If we put "Future date " here, what would happen for this user account.
When a New user created and while enabling the account via One Identity Manager portal, there is an option to set the activation date.

Please help me.

    I'm assuming until that date is set, the identity is marked as inactive, and based on that any accounts linked to it will also remain inactive. This can be useful in a use case where a new employee is hired and are due to join after 1 month. The identity can then be created, along with all their relevant accounts but all this will be inactive, then on the date they are due to statr work all their accounts will be automatically activated.
