On-Prem SAP integration managed by a CUA

Hi,

I would need your support regarding the integration of on-premises SAP systems managed by a CUA (Central User Administration).
In case of integration of a system where there are 10 on-premises SAPs all managed by a CUA is it sufficient to install and configure only one connector to the CUA to manage all SAPs?
From the documentation I saw that OneIdentity's R/3 connector is able to connect to the CUA, in this case, is it necessary to deploy BAPI for data synchronization across all on-prem SAP systems or is it sufficient only on the CUA?

In addition to the R/3 connector, are there any other ways to integrate the CUA?

Thanks in advance.

  • Any news? I need to understand if the OneIdentity Manager BAPI needs to be loaded only on the SAP CUA system or also on all child systems connected to the central system.

    Thanks in advance

  • First read Administration Guide for Connecting
to SAP R/3 doc as it is quite step by step guide to connection 1IM to SAP.

...and Yes 1IM can work with SAP CUA and provision users and role memberships.

...BAPI transport needs to be imported only in to SAP CUA if You will just provision users and memberships on SAP CUA connected systems

  • It is necessary to deploy BAPI for data synchronization across all on-prem SAP systems because of the system specific data (languages and price lists). It is also necessary to create a minimum sync project for each system which is part of the CUA. This will synchronize the client data and the system specific data into One IM. We deliver a synchronization template for that. In most cases this small sync project will be executed one time (except there will be newly created clients or additional activated SAP price lists on dependent systems).

Most of the work will be done via central system. The sync project includes all kind of user administration objects and changes will be populated via central client. We also ship a synchronization template for this kind of sync shell.
