Composition API filter on translated columns?

Hello Daniel,

The filter parameter works on raw data values and does not evaluate translations.

There is not even a (simple) SQL query that does what you what you are trying to do. Have you tried a URL parameter  (... ?search=Master* )?

we thought that we can expect a similar behavior in regard to the filter as in the grid filter of the old Webportal. Does this mean that the new Angular Webportal in 8.2 won't have any grid filter/grouping capabilities as the old Webportal offers? Or do you only rely on the search functionalities provided by the AppServer in the new Webportal?

We will definitely add filtering capabilities. You can expect to see more in the 8.2.1 release.

To support your specific use case, you can add a specific API parameter + WHERE clause that does what you need. On the API method, you can add something like this:

.WithParameter("CCC_WorkflowType", typeof(string), "Workflow type", isInQuery: false)
.WithWhereClause(request =>
{
    var workflowType = request.Parameters.Get<string>("WorkflowType");
    if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(workflowType))

    // client supplied a filter value -> generate a WHERE Clause
    return request.Session.SqlFormatter()
        .Comparison("CCC_WorkflowType", workflowType, ValType.String);
})
