Where to find and Change Common_TimeTrace parameter

At least in 8.1.3 you can find the configuration parameters in Designer->Getting Started (left lower pane)->Edit configuration parameters (left upper pane) . There you'll find your Common\ProcessState param.

I think you got it wrong. There is no common section, but a configuration parameter Common and underneath it a configuration parameter called ProcessState.

Thank you, I'm, not quite familiar with these parameters yet but that's exactly where I needed to go. 

I've got it now, being new to this I just needed a prompt like "In the Designer, Within Getting Started > Under Edit Configuration Parameters, check whether the Common | ProcessState parameter is set."
