Hello,
I have two OIM environments:
A pre-production environment with one database server, one web (and application) server, and three job servers, running One Identity Manager 9.2.
A test environment with one database server, one web (application) server, and three job servers. I haven’t installed anything on it yet, but I have restored the pre-production database onto the test environment’s database server.
I would like to install OIM 9.2 on the test environment and reuse the pre-production database.
However, I’m not sure which procedure to follow:
Should I install a fresh instance (with an empty database) of OIM 9.2 in the test environment (install the workstation, job servers, and web part), then load the restored db or is there a way to start with the restored database during the installation?
In fact, during the setup, there’s an option "Select installation module from database" – what does this mean?
In this second scenario, the configurations (job server URLs, target systems, etc.) refer to the pre-production environment – will that be a problem?
The job server URLs in the test environment will be different from those in pre-prod. How should I adjust this afterward?
Thank you for any guidance you can provide, especially if you have gone through this process before or if there is documentation that outlines the steps to achieve this
Many thanks in advance!
