Custom target system manager problem

Hi all,

I have several custom target system.

For each one I created a custom target system manager and under each one 2 sub custom target system manager.

1_custom_target system

->custom_targ_sys_manager1 (added to custom target system manager field)

->Data owner

->ItOwner

2_custom_target system

->custom_targ_sys_manager2

->Data owner

->ItOwner

...

Then i add persons to dataowner or/and itowner

This because I need 2 different kind of manager for each target system.

I thought that I could use in my approval workflow the step TO (for finding target system managers) to approve a step.

But the workflow can't find anyone because the root role (es. 1_custom_target system) doesn't inherit the person added to their childs.

Anyone knows a solution for this or I have to create a custom approval procedure for this?
