Side-by-side migration from 5.6.3 (w/o security patch) to 5.7

We have a installation of Password Manager 5.6.3 (w/o security patch installed) on an Windows Server 2012 R2. Now we want to upgrade to Password Manager 5.7 on a new Windows Server 2016.

Is a side-by-side migration from 5.6.3 to 5.7 supported? If yes, what are the needed steps?

I haven't found a description for this scenario.

Best thanks for all replies.

  • Hi,

Follow the upgrade steps detailed on page 149 of the Admin Guide. "Upgrading Password Manager 5.6.3 to 5.7 (if security patch is not installed)"
    support.oneidentity.com/.../downloads

Step 2 states "Install Password Manager 5.7".
This step and all subsequent steps should be done on your new server.

  • oh well, a bit a less description ... for Step2
    Step 2 say's install QPM 5.7
Step 3 already Export the config for the user profile migration ..

    what I discoverd,
Step2a is installation of QPM 570
    Step2b is using http://localhost/pmadmin
here the initialization page is coming up, selected "unique instance" (sine I am running on single instances) (in 563 the Migration Tool had the config import funktion, here in 570 the Migration wizard "only" migrate user profiles)
    Step2c Import 563 configuration

In my case now, even I configured in no places "replica", when I change the user-scope in 570, it replicate it to my 563 installation, like a replica ...
    Have already written to support.

    regards
