Error change central password

Hi,

I've updated Password Manager to version 5.8. When I change a user's password, everything works fine, but when I choose "Forgot my password" option and I answer the questions, two events are generated by the captureAgent installed in the AD. So two events to change central password are triggered. I receive this error email:

PwdErrors Updating the user account: xxx xxx, xxx

xxx xxx, xxx was changed by another user.

Updating the user account: xxx xxx, xxx (xxx xxx, xxx)

xxx xxx, xxx (xxx) was changed by another user.

The password is not propagated to LDAP. Could this be a bug of the version or is it possible that I have something bad configured?

Thanks,

Sonia

  • Thank you Jim for your answer.

So I understand that in case of password reset, there are two events triggered. Buf, why do I receive the email error and the correct password is not propagated to all repositories? Is it possible that the second event gets in the system before the first one? So the AD password is changed but it is incorrect in the other repositories, such as LDAP.

    Thanks in advanced

  • Hi Sonia,

Can you open a service request for this issue please. It may require some deeper analysis in order to get to the bottom of it.
