Question About PSM Backup Archive Replacement Plugin

The BackupArchiveReplacementPlugin is specific to only the connection policies correct. Also, System backup is not overwritten as per the Admin guide note here:

For the management of SPS (Basic Settings > Management), the following configuration settings are not overwritten:

• Mail settings
• System backup
• SSL certificates
• Change root password

Thanks for pointing that out. Just to confirm, the behavior for System Backup is with or without any configuration sync configured, System Backup policy for an MH will not be overwritten? Or is it just configuration sync function will not overwrite System Backup policy? Reason being, when we tried in our lab of 3 nodes (1 CM, 2 MH), changing 1 of the MH's System Backup to point to another System Backup policy (local to the MH) seems to get overwritten and reverted to the policy set in CM node. Wondering if there is a way to overwrite the System Backup on individual MH at this point.

Hi Cyril,

As per the documentation, Management > System backup should be skipped and not synced from CM node even without a config sync plugin configured.

If the selection keeps getting reverted on the MH node then I would open a support service request to investigate that issue further.
