Concurrent access to an Asset

Hello,

We have Windows11 VM machines as assets, and different user accounts on those machines. For each user account, there is an OI session configured, which means that human users can simultaneously request access to the same VM with different user accounts, which creates a problem in Windows. We would like to inform the human users that a VM machine (asset) is already in use before they actually try to connect to it. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for the help,

Pierre

  • Hello,

Safeguard has an option where you can limit maximum users at one time. This is configured in the Security tab of each Access Request Policy in Entitlement.

Another suggestion would be to use a Windows Server machine as an asset. This way, more then one user can connect. Windows Desktop is only intended for one user at a time.

    Best regards,

    Darko

  • Thanks Darko

We cannot use a Windows Server machine, since those VMs are just "jump" machines and the users need to make an SSL-VPN connection out. Sharing the network card is a problem.

You mean to uncheck the box: Allow Simultaneous Access ? It does not help since it relates to the session but not to the asset itself.

Let me know if you have any other ideas, appreciate the help,

    Regards,

    Pierre
