Disaster Recovery - Log Shipping for ARS

Is there a way to log ship databases from Production SQL to Disaster Recovery SQL without reinstallation for ARS? Is there a way to change the connections without a reinstall? What are best practices for Disaster Recovery?

The current version (7.x) doesn't require a re-install. You can just change the database pointer using the Configuration Utility.

Generally, I would always deploy two database servers (and AR servers) in two different geographic locations and replicate using the SQL Publisher / Subscriber model.

We are currently on 6.9, but planning on upgrading to 7.0 later in the year. Is this an option with 6.9 as well?

For the pointer change, there is a command line way to do it in 6.9 as well.

The SQL replication approach is the same.
