Add-PSSnapin : No snap-ins have been registered for Windows PowerShell version 5.

Hi,

I am trying to access Quest AD server via Powershell PSSession which is running in windows 7, powershell 5.1. But the Quest AD server running in Windows 12, Powershell 3.1.

I am facing the below error when add-snapin from PSSession

"Add-PSSnapin : No snap-ins have been registered for Windows PowerShell version 5."

Please help to solve that.

You need to install the Active Roles Management Tools on the Windows 7 machine. From the Windows 7 computer, run ActiveRoles.exe (from the installation media) and unselect everything except for Management Tools on the Component Selection screen.
