I'm working on cleaning up some stale distribution lists and plan to start by hiding them from the Global Address List first.
We're running Active Roles 7.4.1. When selecting the checkbox for "Hide group from Exchange address lists" in the Exchange Advanced tab for the group, Active Roles Change History shows three attribute changes:
- msExchHideFromAddressLists is set to 'true'
- reportToOriginator is set to 'true'
- reportToOwner is set to 'false'
I need to script this process, but I'm not finding much on the reportToOriginator and reportToOwner attributes and their dependencies on the msExchHideFromAddressLists setting. Any details regarding these two attributes and guidance or recommendations as to how they should be defined if msExchHideFromAddressLists is 'true' would be most appreciated.
