Workflow - Administrative Policy returned an error. Unable to deprovision this object: Only users or groups can be provisioned.

Hi Team.

I have a workflow that searches for users accounts in an AD Group. If it finds them I have some steps to Disable the account, Move it to the Deprov OU and then finally run the Deprov process.

All is fine until it gets to the deprov step and then I see this error. Administrative Policy returned an error. Unable to deprovision this object: Only users or groups can be provisioned.

The object is a user account. I am able to deprovision it via the MMC without any issues.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I have worked around this. What i have done is remove all the extra steps out of the workflow except the Deprovison.

I then created a Deprovison policy to handle the account move , disable etc and assigned it to the OU where the accounts live. This is working perfectly

Perhaps it was a timing issue (the system trying to handle the object while it was being moved) but overall your updated approach sounds like a much better plan as handling the moves this way also improves the "Undo" process.
