Display Name of Custom Column not changing

Hi there,

 

I created a new field on the Person table using the Schema Extender, and I entered a Display Name for it when doing that.  I now want to change the display name to something else, so I went into Designer and changed it in both the COLUMN tab and the CUSTOM tab.  I compiled the database, reloaded Web Designer and re-compiled the project, but the original name is still showing up on the screens.  The original Display Name is still showing up in the Manager application as well.  When I look at the new custom field in DialogColumn table, the Caption and CustomCaption fields are showing the new name that I want displayed.

 

Has anyone else seen this before?  Am I missing something?

    Hi Geraldine, I can assure you that this is an observation and not an assumption. This particular field that I added is showing the original Display Name that I entered in the Web Designer's Preview mode, and the Custom Display Name that I entered in the published document.

    Either way, I am not concerned as it is working fine in the published project, so I'll just chalk it up being just one of the many "undocumented features" that I have found with the Q1IM product.
