I've just upgraded the HDB Service to be the same version as my recently upgrade 1IM install. I had the History Database Service on the same server as my regular job service. First I updated the workstation and updated the database. Then I logged into my Job service (with HDB service and Job Service) and upgraded the HDB service install directory with the 8.1.1 installer. This removed the service from Services and there is no replacement. I checked the job service logs for the HDB Service and the last thing I can see is when I shut it down to install the upgrade. Has something changed in 8.1.1 like it runs under the One Identity Manager Service or something? I couldn't see anything to that effect in the release notes.
