Generic Identity and Test identity

Hello Everyone,

I'm new on OIM and we are currently installing OIM 8.2 for our client.

In the all IAM solution of our client, they use Generic Identity which is not associed to a particular employee  and Test Identity which is use to make test wirh some application.

Do there a best way to implement these type of identity in OIM ?  May be by using subidentity ?

Where can I find more informations about subidentity and when they are used ?

Thanks for your advices.

  • You can make up your own sub-identity types
Table:Person\IdentityType: Add KeyValue pair in list: Ex: Tester, Test identity

Using sub-identities is the best/easiest route to take.
It's way, way harder to provide multiple accounttypes and correct groupassignment in one target-system using 1 identity/person object.
It will give you headaches, trust me.
With sub-identities you can set-up IT-Shop's, Service-Items, B-roles en S-roles exclusively for an Identity type.
Ask you partner/reseller about the licensing, may differ per customer/vendor.
