Password reset in self service? Identification with email address?

Hi there and a happy and healthy new year

we would like to give to some external identities the chance to reset password in self service. In almost every web portal the user type hin email address as input. Then he becomes an email with a link or passcode. With this link/passcode he can log in into the password portal and change his password.

OIM has a function to generate a passcode. Could it be used for such self service?

We are using OIM 9.2

Hi Paul,

Yes, that is what the passcode function is for. Passcode creation is exposed as a customizer method on the Person object so that it can be integrated into a process.

In fact, that's the solution we created for our actual webdesigner portal. Users can get a passcode via email, sms or telegram.
