Max length of person.companyMember fails to increase beyond 64

During a person import i see following error

Employees: Maximum length of Company member is 64.

I have already added custom pn person.CompanyMember and increased max size to 256 but the import does not recognize this incresed number and keeps erroring as 64 inspite of multiplke compiles and restarts. Any suggestion to fix this.

Hi,

it is not clear for me what you have done exactly. Did you create a new custom column and changed your import to this custom column or what did you do?

Please be aware that extending the length of a oob column is not supported, because during the next database update the column will be set to the oob length.

You have to update the schema in the synchronization editor for the system that you have extended the column.

Markus Weiss-Ehlers It's not supported to change the column lenght for ootb column you say, but what about custom column after compilation has been done?

the original question here is 6 years old, so I doubt that you are using the same version. Can you please share with the community the version and what you are up to with your question?
