How to update the default layout in web client in Safeguard for Privileged Passwords 6.0?

Hi Safeguard Experts,

I have a requirement from our client that they wish to change the default layout in web client for each user. By default, the Approvals and Reviews widgets / pages are enabled. Is there a way to disable them by default? The ideal solution would be an administrator can set the default pages for different user / user groups. Is that possible?

Also, would it be possible to disable the "Download Windows Client" button in the Application Settings > General? We tried to encourage users to access from web client instead of windows client.

  • Thanks Tawfiq. Followings are a few reasons why it must be prioritized

    1. Confusing interfaces for someone with an Auditor Role. The web console doesn't render required objects. Unless told and trained, an auditor wouldn't know about the desktop client and how to use that. An intuitive interface with the desktop client features at Web will save time and money on trainings
    2. End user interfaces - Not all users are approvers or reviewers. Hence, few questions are asked in terms of what those meant for the logged in users. Although the user have an option to enable/disable, but a central control on that will provide better outcome on rollout. Save time and money on user trainings.
    3. Branding - For obvious reasons like personalized (shouldn't give the client a feeling that instance is shared when deployed in a cloud). There are business users such as Auditors, Risk and Compliance teams who logs into PAM for reports and reviews.
