SPP support for version 6.11 was discontinued as of March 7 2022, for more details, please refer to the Product Life Cycle page here

We recommend you to upgrade to a supported version 7.0 LTS or above (latest LTS is 7.0.2 and latest feature is 7.2 as of this writing) - which may also address the issue you mentioned in case of a compatibility issue between old SPP version and new RedHat version.

You will require an OS patch as a pre-requisite to upgrading to 7.0 LTS:

You also need a new v7 SPP license which can be requested here:

To update the license once you have the new one, you would need to access SPP via Web UI (no option to delete the old license via Desktop Client) and follow steps here:

The upgrade path then looks like this:

SPP 6.11 >  install OS Patch > Delete and add new v7 License via web UI > upgrade to 7.0 LTS > further upgrade to latest LTS or latest Feature release.

Note: SPP Desktop client is deprecated as of SPP v7 and so all admin tasks \ user access will be available via Web UI only starting from version 7.0 LTS and going forward. We also recommend to perform the upgrade in a UAT or test environment when possible.
