how does spp change the password of an account after check in?
Do i need to add a Service user somewhere in SPP or how does SPP have the AD rights to do so?
Where i need to add the account?

Change Password after check-in is set as part of the Entitlement > Access Request Policy > Security tab

Yes, the Asset will need to be configured with a service account that has the rights to perform the password change against the managed account.
