Login is required 2 times in SPP

Hi,

some users when logging in SPP via MFA need to do the procedure 2 times before going into SPP console.

So they access SPP via the HTTPS link, log in the first time, gets redirected on the login page, login again and this time they can get into the console.

Why is that? It is affecting only some users, not everyone.

This is an onPrem environment on version 7.5.0.

    Does this issue happen every time for those specific users that see the issue or is it intermittent?

    Do they see any errors when redirected back to login page?

    What is the Identity provider setting and Authentication provider setting for these users? (for example: Identity Provider: Local | Authentication Provider: External federation via Azure)?

    What does the users select on the login prompt?

    Are they using a load balancer for HTTPS link? If so, does by passing load balancer and login directly to SPP node behave differently?

    i will answer your questions:

    1) as far we tested it is intermittent

    2) no error is given

    3) the MFA is by External Federation on Azure

    4) the user selects External Federation

    5) They do use a VIP FQDN managed by DNS Round Robin, we will try accessing the appliances directly and see if the problem still persists.

    just to say that the problem is solved.

    The issue was caused by a bookmark that was saved with the entire HTTPS string and not only the appliance FQDN/IP.
