How to efficiently secure access for a global bank

My name is Kars Wittens. I'm one of the service owners within the EM department for Rabobank. We have thousands of people working in the IT business. In our EM department, we are concerned mostly about people having the right access at the right moment and people not having access when they leave our bank as an employee. You have almost no control over these orphaned accounts. And if these accounts have high level authorizations, they can do nasty things. So we created our own homegrown management system. And then we said, we need to go to a product. So we chose One Identity. And in the Netherlands environment, they choose another product. And then in 2017, Rabobank International and Rabobank Netherlands merged as the one company again, one bank. And then we had to choose which is the better product. And there, we said, OK, let's use One Identity as the main platform and migrate all the other platforms that we have to One Identity. The benefits of using One Identity, the Identity Manager, is that it has so many standard features in the product that it can easily be switched on and switch off. All the workflow components, segregation of duty, which is a very important thing in a bank, these features are easily to implement. Recertifications is a very important part. You know, people get access, but do they still need access after half a year or a year? Something like that. So these are the features that were pretty easy to implement. One of the key benefits of the One Identity management product is that they offer a lot of basic functionality in the product. And that was one of the things why we selected One Identity. The benefits of having these features of recertification and so on is that it costs us less time to develop. So in the other systems, we have to develop all these features from scratch. And now it is available. It's just a matter of configuration instead of programming, which is always a lot of work. If someone from outside the bank is looking out for an identity experiment solution, I think they should go for One Identity because it has a lot of standard features basic products. So there's a good interaction between us and the One Identity company people. If you have any questions or any doubts about something, they respond very quickly.
