PGV-Policy using EDS-Azure-GuestUser Virtual Attributes

Hi guys,

I'm currently trying to build a guest account invitation process in ARS (8.1.5.) and added several new virtual attributes to the "EDS-Azure-GuestUser" class.

Is there a way to add those attributes to a policy? When I select "EDS-Azure-GuestUser", I can only see and use the built-in attributes (e.g. "edsaAzureOfficeLocation), but not the VAs I created.

I've added them in the web interface without an issue, but configuring a policy for them does not seem to work.

Thanks,
Jochen

For what it's worth, in version 7.5.3.17 I could not reproduce the behaviour that you have experienced.

I created a new Stored DirectoryString attribute named edsvaAzureGuestUserVa1 with a class of edsAzureGuestUser.

I reconnected to the Administration Service and created a new Policy Object containing a PGV policy for the edsAzureGuestUser Object Type. In the Object Property selection pane I selected 'Show all possible properties' and I was able to find and select edsvaAzureGuestUserVa1.

I successfully repeated the experiment with a non-stored virtual attribute and with a boolean attribute.

So it appears the behaviour you have experienced has been introduced between version 7.5.3 and 8.1.5.
