Authentication enhancements for the Active Roles web interface

Customers employing Active Roles release 8.2 can enjoy the enhanced Active Roles web interface, which allows federated authentication to a configured identity provider. This allows customers the ability to choose the identity provider they prefer.

Those distribution groups now have enhanced support for customers using hybrid environments by extending the Active Roles group management functionality to support Entra ID.

Moreover, US Federal customers can now manage and secure their Entra ID GCCH Tenant for fine grained delegation, user management and role management. The Active Roles release 8.2 enables US Federal customers to delegate and manage users and roles, streamlining their workflow while staying tamper-proof.

Conclusion

The Active Roles release 8.2 offers a host of improvements aimed at supporting customers through web interface enhancements and heightened support for Entra ID group and tenant delegation. Customers can enjoy the same identity management, access management and AD management they always have, with the added bonuses of streamlined authentication and increased security.
