Deny request via link in mail not considering VI_ITShop_ApproverReasonMandatoryOnDeny

Hi,

I check in web portal and see that there is a parameter VI_ITShop_ApproverReasonMandatoryOnDeny the is set to false that control the compulsoriness of the reason when the user deny an approval step.

But if I set to true the parameter, I can still deny without entering a reason if click on the link in the default approval mail sent to the approver.

Is this a bug? I think that click on deny in the mail sent to approver  shoudl consider this parameter too.

Any workaround?

  • Are you referring to the approval by mail or are you routed to the web portal for the deny?

If the first one is the case, the parameter you are referring to is a Web Portal setting and not a global one and therefor not considered by the approval by mail process.
