Slow performance in IT Shop at Shopping Cart check-in

Hi,

When checking in entitlements from IT Shop, the performance is pretty slow. Just after pressing the Check & Submit Shoipping Cart button, the site display a "Loading Content" windows for about 15-30 seconds. Then when pressing the next Confirmation window with Yes/No proceed option, it takes another 15-30 seconds with a new "Loading content" window.

The entitlements only contains 1-2 AD groups.

Everything else in the IT Shop is pretty fast and no huge load on the database server.

Are there any specific calculations that are going on during those "loading content" windows that can be changed?

    Might be worth enabling the SQL logs (you can do this in webdesigner config file editor). The SQL logs should show you all the queries being run and the time taken which can point to potential bottlenecks in the DB

    When trying to open the web.config file in webdesigner config file editor, I get the message that "The web.config file is not compatible with this product version.". I guess this is because we made a small change directly into the web.config file a while ago for session timeout.

    Is there any way the file compatible again without reverting back to previous version before our change?

    I strongly recommend not to change anything in the web.config without the config file editor. I would check if the xml syntax is still correct. Are you sure that you don't have a version mismatch?
