Active roles quick connect

Hello,

i Have a problem with 1 account synchronization, because the quest system said:

An error occured while creating the object 'xxxxxx'
The object already exists.

So when I go into my AD target, it does not exist..

it is impossible for me to synchronize this account

Do you have any solution?

thanks

  • Hi,
I assume that you are synchronizing against One Identity database. Then it means that object already exists in the One Identity database. Please check the mapping in the Synchronization Editor by going to mapping of the current object type and use the button for "Test object matching rules". This should tell that it doesn't match with the existing object in the One Identity database. Then check the matching rules why it is not matching.

  • thanks for you answer, i have a older version Quest One quick connect 5.2.0.226

    I dont have Synchronization Editor...

It is possible tu delete this entry directly in the databse?

  • This is the Identity Manager forum.  Is this an Identity Manager error you referring to or an error from Quick Connect?

  • Sorry, this concerns a quick connect error

  • Similar to the Identity Manager solution proposed above, Quick Connect needs matching rules configured so that it has a way to correctly associate an existing user with something you are syncing.  These rules are not created automatically and you must create them yourself.  They are not optional. QC has a flexible rules-based approach and like Identity Manager lets you preview your matching logic against your target systems before you commit changes and perform the match.

If you re-post this question in the Quick Connect forum, you will find excellent help.

Also - you are running a very old and unsupported version of Quick Connect. You should upgrade.

  • Correction - the Active Roles forum.  Quick Connect is no longer sold as a separate product.  For a time, it was freely included with ActiveRoles Server 6.x.  With Active Roles 7.x, we now have a updated component we call the Active Roles Synchronization Service.  For this reason, the best place for your Quick Connect questions is the Active Roles forum.
